Ecommerce Analyst - Earth911

June 2014 - present

While at Earth911 I have performed a variety of jobs. I found and contacted environmentally friendly companies to sell their products on our marketplace. I also aided in on-boarding these companies onto our site. I have maintained relationships with these suppliers and aided them in growing their sales. In this process I learned how to operate the Magento eCommerce platform.

At this time my primary responsibility is maintaining our recycling directory. I oversee a database of over 130,000 active locations. I actively identify new recycling locations to add to our directory so that customers always have the most up to date information. As a part of this new responsibility i learned the basics in SQL coding in order to run various queries of our database.

Market Researcher - CleanPlanet Chemical

As a market researcher at CPC my primary role was to research potential clients and gather necessary information so that the inside sales team could make contact and begin a relationship with them. I also performed research on government regulations that pertained to the installation of our recycling units. This information was used to ensure that our customers could receive the proper permits prior to instillation.

Market Researcher - Grim Reaper Broadheads

I was hired as a market research consultant to build a report on the broadhead market. I gathered information on competitors and analyzed their position in the market. I examined hunters preferences to see what types of broadheads they preferred so that Grim Reaper knew which products they should promote. I also analyzed industry trends to see what parts of the country were experiencing the greatest amount of growth in bow hunting so that Grim Reaper could focus their marketing efforts.

 

Account Planner - BYU Adlab

The Adlab is a student run advertising agency on the campus of Brigham Young University. During my time in the Adlab we worked with a number of different clients including i.TV, Heinz, Vittana, Paper-Mate, and Glidden Paint. Because I love understanding human behavior I decided to work primarily as an account planner in the Adlab. I performed various forms of research including SWOT and competitor analysis, focus groups, and ethnographies. I acted as the voice of the consumer and ensured that my teams stayed on strategy as we developed various campaigns for our clients.

Achievements

L'Oreal Brandstorm 2014 - Kiehls

I performed research for Kiehls and found that there was a lack of skin care knowledge among men which was a primary reason for the lack of product use by the male demographic.

Our team gave Kiehls a solution to this education problem through a simple customized step-by-step routine guide that would be given to new customers. You can see our project on my portfolio page.
